Happy Valley Homestead
Our Story
Three generations, one valley, and a deep belief that good food starts with good land.
How it started
Roots Run Deep
Happy Valley Homestead started the way most good things do — quietly, without much fanfare. My grandparents settled this land decades ago, not to build a business, but to build a life. They grew food because they needed to, and they cared for the land because it was theirs to care for.
My parents took over the farm and expanded the gardens, adding more variety, more flowers, and eventually a little stand at the end of the driveway. Neighbors started stopping by. Word got around. The stand grew into something real.
The farm today
Still the Same Land, Still the Same Values
Today I run the farm with my family. We tend the same soil my grandparents broke, grow many of the same varieties they loved, and sell to neighbors who've become friends over the years.
We're not trying to be anything other than what we are — a family farm that grows good food and sells it honestly. No shortcuts, no sprays we wouldn't want on our own table, no pretending the work is easier than it is.
What we believe
How We Farm
Grown here, sold here
Everything at the stand comes from this land. We don't buy in from other farms or resell wholesale produce. If it's here, we grew it.
Honest growing practices
We don't use synthetic pesticides or herbicides. We feed the soil, manage pests by hand and with beneficial insects, and let the seasons guide us.
No waste, no rush
We pick when things are ready — not before. What doesn't sell goes back to the compost. The land gives to us; we give back to it.
Neighbors first
We've always sold to the people around us. That's not a marketing strategy — it's just how we were raised. Good food belongs in the neighborhood.
Come say hello
The best way to know us is to stop by the stand. We're there every Thursday through Sunday during the season — and we always have time to talk about what's growing.
